I grew up in a place where most kids don’t take school seriously. The odds were stacked against me. But Coach Bracey helped make me a better person. He taught me how to work hard and believe in myself. 

Since joining Arise, I have become a much better student and I have learned a great deal about football as well. Most importantly, I have learned how to study and to use my time wisely and not procrastinate.  

It wasn’t easy at first. However, I felt supported and Coach Bracey and his team helped me stick with it. My overall GPA my freshman year at Brien McMahon High School was 3.8 (high honors). I recently learned that I was accepted to Greenwich Country Day School. 

I can honestly say that never would have happened without all the guidance I received from Coach Bracey.
